Crystal Sands sits on Mirihi Magu Road in Maafushi, a vibrant local island in the South Male Atoll about 26 km from Velana (Male) International Airport. Bikini Beach, the jetty, local restaurants and excursion departure points are all within an easy walk.
Speedboat transfer
The fastest way to reach us is by speedboat - around 30 minutes from Male International Airport. Speedboat transfers must be booked in advance, so please share your flight details with the hotel at least 3 days before arrival to secure your seat.
Public ferry
A public ferry connects Villingili Ferry Terminal in Male with Maafushi Island as a 90-minute round trip. Departures from Villingili are at 15:00 and from Maafushi at 07:30. Please note there are no ferry services on Fridays.
Nearby beaches & attractions
Bikini Beach is just 200 m away, with Biyaadhoo Beach, Makunufushi (Cocoa Island), Guraidhoo and Kandooma all within easy reach by boat. Mr. Octopus, Hiyala Mariyaadhu Cafe and Floating Bar & Safari are among the local restaurants close to the hotel.

Good to know
Maafushi is a locally inhabited island, so swimwear such as bikinis should not be worn in public areas of the island. The hotel arranges trips to nearby picnic islands where these restrictions do not apply, so you can enjoy the full Maldives beach experience with complete freedom.
